Who will perform my treatments?
Dr. Faludi performs all of the injectable and laser treatments. He has chosen to devote this aesthetic practice entirely to minimally invasive procedures in order to allow him to work personally with every patient throughout the consultation and treatment process.
Do the Botox and dermal filler injections hurt?
Dr. Faludi is concerned about a patient’s comfort during any procedure; he takes great care to ensure that the treatment experience is as relaxing and pain-free as possible. The discomfort associated with Botox injections is minimal, particularly because of the tiny needles used for the procedure. Patients often describe a sensation that feels like the snapping of a rubber band or a mosquito bite.
There is also minimal discomfort associated with Dr. Faludi’s dermal filler injections. His advanced micro-cannula techniques allow for gentle, precise injection, and all of the dermal fillers he uses are prepared with lidocaine (a numbing agent). Dr. Faludi also provides additional topical and local anesthesia to meet individual needs.
How do I know which dermal filler is right for me?
The specific physical characteristics of each dermal filler determine where and how it is used. They vary in composition, softness, smoothness, firmness and how long they last. Dr. Faludi discusses the choices available for individual treatment goals with each patient.
Can Botox and dermal fillers be used in combination in the same treatment?
Yes! Neuromodulators and dermal fillers are often used together in comprehensive non-surgical facial rejuvenations, and they can be used in combination during the same treatment session. They work together to smooth, lift, and sculpt various areas of the face to achieve a softened, more youthful countenance.
Will I look unnatural or “frozen” after treatment?
Dr. Faludi works carefully with each patient to achieve subtle, natural looking results. After treatment, others may comment that you look refreshed, relaxed, or vibrant, but your appearance will not be dramatically altered.
What is Botox, and how does it work?
Botox is a therapeutic protein derived from c. botulinum bacteria; it has been purified for use in humans. It significantly reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles by blocking the actions of the muscles that produce them.
What are dermal fillers, and how do they work?
Dermal fillers are sterile gels, comprised of substances that are found naturally in the skin and supporting tissues of the body; most are hyaluronic acid based. They are injected under the skin to plump, smooth, lift, and sculpt various areas of the face and hands.
How does the Excel V laser work on spider veins and brown spots?
The Excel V laser provides advanced non-ablative treatment for a variety of skin and vascular conditions over the face, hands, and body. It is the highest rated laser for treatment of spider veins, and it is considered the gold standard for treatment of pigmented lesions, including brown spots. When it is set to target hemoglobin, it collapses broken blood vessels, which are then absorbed by the body. It can also be set to target melanin, which results in the lightening of brown spots and other skin discolorations.
